We Have Duties . . .
Sellers Equipment is a distributor of heavy construction, industrial, and material handling equipment. Since 1947, for over sixty years, we have provided our customers with quality equipment and professional service.
As a distributor of equipment, it is our duty to maintain adequate shop and field SERVICE FACILITIES. We must maintain service equipment, and
tools, staffed by capable, willing people. This will assure our customers get maximum performance and economical operation from machines purchased or rented from us.

It is also our duty to perform a PARTS service for our customers. This is done by maintaining an adequate supply of fast moving and insurance parts for the machines we sell. These repair parts must be available to our customers night or day. We must remind ourselves that Down Time is bad and can be very expensive to our customers!

Another of our duties is to perform a SALES & RENTAL service. We sell and rent only the products which will prove beneficial to our customers in a type and manner which can be afforded. We would be of no service to a customer to sell or rent a machine twice as large and expensive as needed.

Years!
Ben Sellers . . . fresh off the farm near Lyons, Kansas . . . then to Manhattan for a degree in Engineering . . . and soon to Milwaukee, with Allis-Chalmers Corp.
It's 1939.

Forward twelve years . . .1947, Ben leaves Allis-Chalmers as Division Manager and founds Sellers Equipment in Salina, Kansas.

Forward thirty-three years . . . 1980, Sellers Equipment is now thoroughly engulfed with the second generation. Dave Sellers becomes President, CEO. Don Sellers, VP-Marketing; Dan Sellers, VP-Comptroller.

Forward twenty-eight years . . . 2008, Sellers Equipment is still looking forward with excitement! With enthusiasm! With a great history behind us and a tremendous future ahead! What Ben Sellers started over fifty years ago is going strong today, thanks in no small part to the foundation he laid.

Our Industry is Important.
Our business is important to the local and national economy. The products we represent have helped produce big results. Like farm-to-market roads; highways; reservoirs; stadiums; airports; a tremendous number of things we take for granted.

Freight without lift trucks? Catastrophy!

Men use equipment to get things done. (and that is important)

We have ONE boss!
The "Big Boss" in our company is the customer. Actually we have several thousand Big Bosses. We must work for all of our Big Bosses.

We must be prompt; be courteous; be helpful. If we don't please our customers, the Big Boss will most likely fire us and locate some other means to perform the services needed.

It's Service!
It has always been SERVICE at Sellers Equipment. It is the one big constant in the life of the Company. We pride ourselves on the level of service our people are capable, and willing, to provide for our customers. When we receive complements from our customers-that is a very good thing.
